Description
Christopher Farr, initially an abstract painter and a graduate of the Slade School, embarked on a transformative journey with a Boise Traveling Fellowship to Peru in 1975. Enthralled by pre-Columbian textiles, Farr's passion for abstraction led him to Western Turkey to delve into the art of rug making. Merging his modernist fascination with color and form with ancient hand-dying and hand-looming techniques, he emerged as one of today's foremost rug designers. Each rug is meticulously crafted in collaboration with the artist or relevant institution estate, ensuring a result that remains faithful to the original work, akin to producing a limited edition print. Elevate your space with a Christopher Farr rug—a harmonious blend of contemporary design and ancient craftsmanship.
